last night, as usual, before i went to bed, i carried out my normal routine... i brushed my teeth, put moisturizing lotion, turned the light off, turned the tv on, did my ab exercises, until finally fatigue sets in and i turn the tv off, say my prayers and sleep...
sometimes i watched soccer, other times it was cartoons... but last night, it was star movies. lol.
the title of the movie was 'adam and eve'. it was a good show, one that caught my attention and interest... so much so that i refused sleep until it ended.
the plot goes like this: adam and eve are deeply in love with each other, but eve refuses to have sex with him. so adam tries all sorts of ways to try to get her to satisfy his sexual cravings... but in the end, his efforts were futile. sure, adam has some horny slut waiting in the wings, desperately and eagerly trying to get in his pants, but no, adam knows he loves eve... or does he? ok anyway, to cut the long (and not to mention highly entertaining) story short, in the end eve gives in (when she finally felt ready), and adam and her both engage in ming-blowing sex.
but whatever, the moral of the story is : GUYS you should never ever ever pressure a girl into sex. haha.
oh, and an interesting line from the show really struck me when i heard it...
you know, it's one of those lines that you hear, and momentarily pause to think, and sort realise you've been stoning and suddenly understand and then you go "wow".
haha. ok. as cliche as it may sound... the line is 'something worth having, is something worth waiting for'. yes. i totally agree. no opposition there.
yesterday dawn, dee and i were sitting at ben and jerry's having our ice cream... and we suddenly realised the prospect of the possibility of never ever finding our one true love, never getting married, and shuddered at the idea that it was even conceivable that the wait for prince charming to gallantly arrive on his grandiose white horse would be interminable... (TOUCH WOOD).
so how do we know? how can we tell when we're ready? how do we decide whether he's the one?
siangyee believes in true love. i'm still undecided. surely that's a tad bit naive? isn't love about understanding and compromise? nothing and no one is perfect right?
sigh... sometimes i wish i could go back to being young and carefree... to the time where nothing but innocence and multifarious thoughts of happy endings flooded my mind.
i baked cookies today... just because i wanted to remember what it was like to sit down next to my teddy bear and share cookies and milk with him, living in my world of pretense, encapsulated in an indestrucable bubble...
who says we can't still have milk and cookies?
